Blends by Birdy

Welcome to the Blends by Birdy website! This is the beginning of what I hope will one day become a website with authority in the area of Aromatherapy.

Who is "Blends by Birdy"?

Currently, it's just me, but I do hope to someday be able to hire people!

• I am a freelance website designer who maintains a few sites for non-profits and seasonal small businesses for free or very cheaply.
• I work full time as the primary website editor and front-end developer for an area corporation.
• I am a student of aromatherapy and am currently one test away from being an Essential Oil Specialist.
• I am one test, a research paper and 4 case studies away from being a Certified Aromatherapist.
• I am pre-enrolled in advanced aromatherapy curriculum that I will start on once I have met the above requirements to become a Certified Aromatherapist.
• I am a member of the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA) and the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA).
• I am passionate about Aromatherapy and it's use to support individuals, including myself, with emotional or physical ailments!

Blends by Birdy Goals

I have several goals for this website that will unfold throughout 2019, into 2020 and beyond.

• First and foremost, an engaging, responsive design, which will be implemented in March and April of 2019 along with some initial aromatherapy related content. (I know, it doesn't look like much right now.)
• At the same time, or soon after, a blog, covering aromatherapy topics including:
  • essential oil safety
  • essential oil quality
  • the use of essential oils for emotional and physical support
  • highlights on essential oils
  • deep dives into the chemical components that make up essential oils
  • and more!
• As the blog develops and I feel comfortable with the amount and quality of the content, I will connect the site with Social Media platforms, likely Twitter and Facebook.
• The launch of an online store selling my line of aromatherapy blends!
• A library of data that provides site visitors with information on aromatherapy topics.
• Potentially adding online and in person aromatherapy consultations as a service.
